[Brawler Trading] Week 1: US-Iran Conflict & Market Thoughts

The US-Iran conflict is lasting longer than expected. On March 4, 2026, KOSPI dropped by 12.06%.

The market is very different from my "Brawler Trading" logic these days. I am writing this to review my strategy.

Feb 27 (Fri)

Korea: I expected a small drop, but the market held up well. I did not trade because I was updating my trading logic.
USA: The market was quiet and did not move much.

Mar 2 (Mon)

Korea: Market closed.
USA: The war did not affect the stocks much yet. Many people hoped the war would end soon.

Mar 3 (Tue)

Korea: The war started to hurt the market. Prices started low and kept falling all day.
- (KOSPI -7.92% / KOSDAQ -5.03%)
USA: Prices dropped at first but recovered a little at the end of the day.
- (SPY -0.88% / QQQ -1.07% / IWM -1.73%)

Mar 4 (Wed)

Korea: The US drop from yesterday hit Korea very hard. The Korean market was already in a "bubble," so it crashed.
- (KOSPI 200 -11.94% / KOSDAQ 150 -14.78%)
USA: Surprisingly, the US market went up by about 1%.
- (SPY +0.71% / QQQ +1.52% / IWM +0.97%)

Mar 5 (Thu)

Korea: Prices jumped up after the big crash. The KOSDAQ 150 went up 22% during the day but finished at 14%. The market is very crazy right now.
- (KOSPI 200 +9.83% / KOSDAQ 150 +15.93%)
USA: Emerging markets like Korea and China are suffering because of oil prices. It will be a tough time.
- (SPY -0.56% / QQQ -0.30% / IWM -1.91%)

Mar 6 (Fri)

Korea: KOSDAQ 150 was very strong. KOSPI 200 started weak but finished near zero.

USA: The market continued to fall.

📊 Brawler System Trading Results

Korea Market: 6 trades / 3 wins. I got lucky and made some profit.
USA Market: 12 trades / 3 wins / 9 losses. I lost a lot of money in the US market.

Summary: The news is changing everything every second. The market is very hard to predict. My Brawler System took a big hit this week. It hurts, but I will use this data to do better next time.

My Old Laptop is Getting Tired

I use an old ThinkPad T530 for my Brawler System Trading People call it a "dinosaur" because it is so old. I keep it running 24 hours a day. It restarts itself every morning to stay fresh. What This Laptop Does This old friend works very hard for me: Korean Stock Market: It runs YesTrader from 09:00 to 15:30. US Stock Market: It handles trades from 16:00 to 05:00 the next day. It follows my rules and places orders all day and night. Signs of Aging Recently, the laptop has been acting up. The USB for my Arduino stops working. The CD drive causes the system to crash. Sometimes, it just turns off for no reason. But when I get home, I turn it off and back on. Then, it works perfectly again! I still trust it, but I did remove the CD drive to help it run better. Now, every time I press the power button, I pray it stays safe. It is running so smoothly that I've already forgotten about the previous errors. Looking Ahead I already have a backup laptop, a T580. 장비도 같이 늙어가고 있습니다.

매매 주문을 하는 PC는 오래된 씽크패드 T530 입니다. 아주 오래된 노트북이라고 불리는데요. 24시간 켜두고 있습니다. 매일 새벽 스케줄에 따라 재부팅하며 한국주식시장의 주식 매매를 위해서 예스트레이더를 실행하여 09:00부터 15:30 까지 조건에 맞는 주문을 하는 친구입니다. 그리고 미국주식시장의 주식 매매를 위해서 16:00~다음날 05:00 까지 조건에 맞는 주문을 하는 친구입니다. 최근 노트북이 가끔씩 오류를 내고 있습니다. 연결해둔 아두이노 레오나르도의 USB 가 다운되며 안켜지고 CD롬 오류로 뜬금없이 다운되고 이유 없이 다운되고 있었는데요. 퇴근하고 완전히 껏다가 다시 켜면 쌩쌩하게 동작해서 다시 믿음을 줍니다. 이제는 방해가 되는 ODD CD롬도 빼버렸네요. 전원버튼을 누르며 안전하게 동작만 해달라고 기도하고 있습니다. 그리고 오류를 냈던 것을 잊을만큼 다시 생생하게 작동을 하고 있습니다. 백업용 노트북도 T580도 준비 해두었는데 증권사의 윈도우10 지원이 끝나면 이제는 이전해야겠습니다.
